Local Counsel in the Northern District of Illinois or the Circuit Court of Cook County
All of our attorneys are licensed in Illinois. Furthermore, Ed Clinton, Jr. was admitted the Northern District of Illinois in 1991. He is a member of both the general and the trial bar. Julia Williams was admitted in 2009 and is a member of the general bar.
We have extensive experience in litigating matters in the federal court system, from complex commercial litigation to prosecuting serious attorney legal malpractice claims. We strive to maintain good relationships with both the Judges and lawyers we work with. We have significant experience both state and federal courts and would be happy to assist you should you need a local attorney.
Our offices are within easy walking distance of both the Daley Center, which is Cook County’s largest civil courthouse, and the Dirksen Building, which houses the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
There are good reasons to choose us to act as your local counsel.
First, we are held in high regard by the Judges who we routinely appear before. We can provide credibility to your matter.
Second, we work well with the Chicago area attorneys with whom we have frequent dealings. This will help you stay on track with the case and on budget.
Third, we will regard you, the out-of-town lawyer, as our client. We will ensure that you are involved with all the decision making in the matter and preserve your relationship with your client.
Fourth, our experience makes us ideally suited to handle your complex commercial litigation matter. We have litigated cases in both state and federal courts and have argued appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Illinois Appellate Court. We understand how to litigate cases and preserve important issues for appeal.
Fifth, we have a conference room which can be used for depositions.
